Haircare routine: in what order should you apply your products?
A complete haircare routine: the order for oil, shampoo, conditioner, mist and serum, and what each step does.

The short answer
A haircare routine follows a simple order: oil on the scalp before washing, shampoo on the roots, conditioner on the lengths, then mist and serum on clean hair. Prepare, wash, soften, finish.
Several products in the bathroom and never sure which one comes first? A haircare routine follows a simple logic: prepare, wash, soften, then finish. Here is the order we recommend, from scalp to ends.
1. Before washing: scalp care
An oil is applied to dry hair, before shampooing. Spread it over the roots, massage with your fingertips for a few minutes, then leave it on as directed on the bottle. The massage is also a moment for yourself: take your time.
In the Wiyame Skin ritual, this is the role of Repousse+.
2. Washing: a gentle shampoo
Shampoo focuses on the scalp, where sebum and residue build up. No need to scrub the lengths: the lather running down as you rinse is enough to clean them. One shampoo is usually enough, two after an oil treatment.
Our Fortigrow shampoo is stated by the brand to be free from sulfates and parabens.
3. After shampoo: soften the lengths
Conditioner does not go on the roots but on the lengths and ends. Squeeze your hair in a towel first, apply, detangle with a wide-tooth comb, leave on, then rinse.
This is the step for SilkyTouch.
4. On clean hair: the mist
A hair mist is sprayed from a distance to wrap hair in a light veil. Keep the distance stated on the bottle and avoid contact with the eyes. Lumimist fits here.
5. The finishing touch: the serum
Serum comes last, on the lengths and ends, in a small amount. Warm it between your palms and smooth the areas that frizz. On fine hair, go easy so as not to weigh it down. This is the step for Smoothix.
Do you need everything every time?
No. Washing and conditioner are the base. The oil can come before some washes only, and the mist or serum depending on the day. What matters is keeping the same order: prepare, wash, soften, finish.
